American Robin

American Robins are usually ground feeders. Snow will often drive them up to feeders to find food. They seem to enjoy eating dried cranberries! They are a medium-sized bird with an orange front and dark grey back. The females usually have a lighter colored orange than the males. Most of them migrate south for the winter and return to this area in the late winter/early spring. Some will stay through the winter.
